Health Professional Wellbeing

Doctors frequently encounter patients suffering from general stress. Moreover, doctors themselves experience considerable stress as a result of the unique demands of their profession. Meditation can be a simple, effective method to manage stress. This active learning module is designed to educate and upskill doctors with an evidence based form of meditation that they can use to manage their own stress as well as understand how to identify patients n their practice who may benefit by learning the same skill. The meditation technique recommended in this programme is based on rigorous evaluations conducted by Dr Ramesh Manocha as part of his doctoral thesis conducted under the auspices of the School of Women’s and Children’s Health, Faculty of Medicine, University of New South Wales.

This initiative is intended as a non-profit, non-commercial service for Australian doctors.
